The sea has figured greatly in Joseph Waiksnis's life. After years apart, he was tearfully reunited with his Navy veteran grandfather and later inherited his house in rural Pennsylvania. Tragically for Joseph and his family however, local authorities coveted the property and were willing to do everything in their power to seize it. Their efforts culminated in a shocking act of police brutality and subsequent trumped up charges that have since haunted him.
The years since brought continued legal repression upon him, following him across three states and leading to a kidnapping across state lines. To this day he faces forged judgements that sap his income and threaten his family's home.
Inspired by meeting Judge Stuart Namm and reading his memoirs Joseph wrote and self-published his own true story.
Today he continues to fight to clear his good name and protect his family and their home from rapacious, corrupt officials. He lives in Long Island, NY with his elderly parents and son.
